Paediatric Dentist

Dr. Rubinoff continues to not only enjoy but also thrive in his chosen profession. Surrounding himself with caring, dedicated, long standing staff Dr. Rubinoff's focus for his practice is Paediatric Prevention. Prevention as it applies to dental decay, gum disease, orthodontic problems, mouth injuries and of course anxiety and fear.

In addition to his busy office schedule, Dr. Rubinoff enjoys speaking to groups of parents and health professionals about paediatric dentistry. Working with people has always been stimulating and rewarding for Dr. Rubinoff, as he is also a part time teacher at the University of Toronto Dental School. In his own words "I have been practicing Paediatric Dentistry for five decades".

Dr. Ian Raskin

Dentist

Dr. Ian Raskin firmly believes that the best way to take care of his patients is to continuously increase his knowledge and range of clinical skills. By adopting the latest in technologies and techniques he hopes to offer all areas of Dentistry in the most comfortable manner possible.

Dr. Raskin graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1984. Since then he has spent close to four decades in continuous post-graduate study in all areas of specialty in Dentistry, including Advanced Occlusion and Cosmetics, TMJ Therapy and Prosthetics, Endodontics and Periodontal Surgery. In 2000, Dr. Raskin was granted a Masters / Advanced standing in Laser Dentistry from the Academy of Laser Dentistry, one of fewer than ten recipients in Canada. He lectures extensively all over the world to Dentists about Laser Dentistry. Dr. Raskin is the co-author of a text book on Air Abrasive Micro Dentistry as well as several articles on Laser Dentistry. In the mid 1990’s he was a founding member of the Society for Advanced Dentistry, dedicated to teaching dentists about Micro Dentistry Techniques. Dr. Raskin is the father of two amazing sons. During his many years of practise, he has had the opportunity to treat many patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Ms. Dana Godelewicz

Dental Hygienist

Dana Godelewicz graduated from Niagara College in 2000 as a Dental Hygienist. Prior to becoming a hygienist, Dana was working for almost 10 years as a dental assistant. With over 25 years in the Dental Field, Dana gained experience with all aspects of dentistry. She has worked in a regular GP office, periodontal office and currently is working in pediatrics.

In the past 4 years since entering into the pediatric field, Dana started working with kids with special needs and Autism. She is very kind and caring and loves  helping kids with special needs and taking care of their oral health. She has many patients following her over the years and kids love to be treated by her.

When not working, Dana loves spending time with her husband and her two young boys.

Ellen Anderson

Dental Hygienist, Oral Health Consultant, Special Needs

Ellen Anderson, RDH BS is currently caring for the dental health of individuals with special needs and autism in Illinois. After many years in private practice, and a dental hygiene educator, Ellen changed directions to work with underserved individuals in public health. She started by presenting oral care in-services to long term care facilities’ direct care staff. Finding that this was professionally rewarding, she continued to seek out opportunities to care for vulnerable populations and their caregivers. Her days are filled with numerous challenges and rewards as she encourages her patients that live with autism and different abilities to be active participants in their own oral care.

She enjoys historical fiction, road trips, and downtime with family and friends. Ellen lives in Elgin, Illinois. “ I am always looking to enrich my knowledge and understanding of those that live with autism. Barbara Lebo’s training program is full of useful and practical information for anyone working or engaging with people with autism and their families.”

Gina Mazza

Dental Hygienist

For the past 20 years Gina has been serving the profession of dentistry in various capacities. She understands the tools, skills and knowledge dentists need to be at the top of their game.

Gina has a passion for coordinating "next-level" educational experiences and facilitating the best training available for medical professionals. This has earned her a respected reputation as a leader in dental education.

Her energy and resourcefulness with a sincere desire to help clinicians grow are immediately palpable to those she collaborates with.

Prior to entering medical education, Gina was a Registered Dental Hygienist with surgical implant experience and studied in the UK at King's College at the University of London England. Working as a clinical dental hygienist Gina has had the opportunity to work with patients who have Autism.

Dr. Jonathan Beatty

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Jonathan Beatty-A focus on the underlying cause of disease and a treatment approach designed to support the healing processes of the body are what makes Dr Beatty a successful practitioner. Practicing evidence based medicine allows communication of expected outcomes and treatment times to patients, optimizing compliance. Recovery from disease, not disease management, is the approach that results in lasting success. Graduated from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science Honors in Nutrition and Nutraceutical Science. In addition to this he is certified through Defeat Autism Now to treat Autism Spectrum Disorder. He has also operated a practice specialized in treating Autism, Cardiovascular Disease, and Cancer at the Markham Integrative medicine. He also is the Clinical Director of Beatty Naturopathic Clinic which has a special focus on patients on the Autism Spectrum.

Maya Grinev

Autism Therapist / Speech & Language Pathologist

Graduated MOSCOW STATE PADAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY, Russia 1988-1993 as a Speech Language Pathologist and Language Teacher for children with speech disabilities. Worked in public school for children with speech difficulties. Graduated TEL-AVIV UNIVERSITY, Israel. Faculty of medicine. Course of Speech and Audiology, (Licensed as SLP after completion) 1989-1999. Worked in Hifa, Israel in “Fliman” Hospital, a public school and a preschool for children with developmental delay, 1999-2001. Graduated with excellence SENECA COLLEGE, Toronto, 2006-2008, Program Autism Behavior Analysis. Starting 2008 work as a self-employee, TACT. Services provided for following companies: KINARK, UNDER UMBRELLA TREE, ABOVE AND BEYOND and families having children with developmental difficulties privately.

Arthur Shlanger

Accountant

Arthur Shlanger. I have been a practicing accountant for over forty years. I have an adult daughter who lives with autism. As a result, I have focused in the area of special needs/disability accounting. My family wrote a book, “For The Love of Melissa”, highlighting our own journey with autism.

Analyn Torres

Nurse

Analyn has been practicing nursing for over 20 years, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has extensive background in emergency medicine, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal and endocrine diseases. Analyn is a member of the Registered Practical Nurse Association Of Ontario Canada. She has a very strong academic foundation for providing safe and quality care to patients, and providing trainings to Nursing students as well.

SHARON BOISSELLE

For over 20 years I have been actively involved working with children/youth in various capacities.

Experience working in both private and public sector organizations. Provided clinical, guidance, supervision  and intervention of children/adolescents with autism and other special needs.

Currently employed for over 20 years as an Educational Assistant, York Region District School Board.

After trying to find a quick one-sentence explanation on what it’s like to do what I do,  I said, “Working with families that have been touched with autism is the most interesting, rewarding job I’ve ever had.”

Every person with autism is first and foremost an individual, which means they present with their own behaviours, needs and gifts.
