I am grateful to have had this opportunity and am very excited to share what I learned! Barbara brought lots of enthusiasm, insight, and positivity.
  • Firstly, I would say the class was insightful, informative and had humor.   Having known and heard about autism but not knowing what it entails, but  now I can say I know better.  The innovative approach and step taking in order to ensure a better and safe environment for your CHILD was exceptional.   Using your experience as a talking point made the session more calm and everyone listened carefully.   A good job well done.   Would like to know more.
  • i like the way u explain and discuss about autism course and sending some paper to read.
  • I have gained a better understanding of this developmental disability. It is a lifelong condition that requires caregivers to have a comprehensive knowledge of the disease and how to interact with those who have it. The inability to connect with individuals with autism can be heartbreaking. Therefore, it is crucial to learn more about the disorder and the strategies that have helped others. This knowledge can improve my relationship with the person I care for who has this disability.
  • A thoughtful and highly informative training. How to better evaluate  and treat  autistic children. Learned concrete skills that I need to be confident to work and making the greatest possible  impact.
  • The presentation and the course were very informative.
  • I enjoy the reality you bring to the course material. I can put myself in your shoes in those moments and those moments when you’re advocating it truly can be hard to be a heard voice.
  • Thank you for the training session today.  I found it very useful and informative.   Firstly, I liked the amount of new information, backed by statistics and personal experiences.

  • I like all the information that you told us.  especially about the food, gluten and casein free.  You already know, as a Filipino, we always eat rice, sweets and a lot of food that has all the things that we shouldn’t eat.   I learned a lot about what autism is and what it is about.  Learning the do’s and don’ts when caring for someone with autism is very important.  The step by step learning to communicate, understand and to know about their behaviours.
  • I really liked the way you spoke and explained each and every section in detailed with real life examples. Really liked the attachments and so well organized.
  • It was worthy spending 4 hours listening to you because you a teacher who experienced what you teach.  The audio and video were loud and clear.  I am a PSW and I have worked with both the elderly and young but I learned a new thing today that toxins in food contribute to Autism in children.   Thank you for highlighting that behaviour in children is communication because sometimes we take them for granted by not paying attention.  I also liked the break time which gives us students time to refresh, thank you.

  • I absolutely loved all of the resources provided.
  • I loved the personal anecdotes, handouts and the advice about dietary changes to be made for preventive measures because they make a big difference not only for the person with autism but also for the people around them, ie; pregnant mothers etc Our society is poisoning us and if we are unwell there will be no way to ensure we can take care of the people we love and the people who need it.

The biomedical section is equally enlightening and the wealth of information it conveys is useful when adopted in the treatment or management  of almost all diseases. Learning is so important as it opens your eyes to see more and your ears to know more. • The personal stories and we really enjoyed learning about the behavior and we practice and understand more about autism
  • Thank you for the impactful session with you.   I really enjoyed your online presentation. I thought it was well planned and laid out, easy for me to follow. • What I liked most about this course was learning about sensory processing disorder manifestations. Thanks to this course, I now have better understanding and knowledge of how I can help people with Autistic behavior. The strategies and concepts I have learnt today will help me take better care of autistic clients in my line of work as a PSW.
  • This course is very informative and has exposed  me to new skills: Being a trained Nurse/Midwife from my country and trained as PSW in Canada, this has given me a better understanding and great passion for people with ASD, their needs ,and provision for the highest quality of life they deserved.
  • Thanks so much for the chance giving to give my own evaluation on this course , I can categorically tell you that everybody needs to take this course because it’s a way of life , It’s educational , It's social , It’s LIFE and am so glad that am part of the lucky ones to go through this course .

  • i loved the class and all the material that barb has given
  • Attending this course is an eye-opener for me and it really gives an understanding of what I know nothing about.
  • The course is educational. It opened my eyes to the world of Autistic children.
  • Ma, I really enjoyed every bit of the training, and you, using your son as an example, made everything so easy to understand.
  • I liked everything about the course .
  • I like this mind blowing autism training and have broaden my reservoir of knowledge further.
  • First, I want to thank you on the good works and efforts you made on Autism ,   I enjoyed and learned a lot from your teaching today,
  • This course was well delivered and actually got me thinking of what extra i could do to make a bigger difference.
  • The course touched base on so many subjects as well as  everything you feel inside as a parent of a child with autism. I truly loved that Mrs. Lebo shared her personal journey during the class. When she touched base on sensory and behavioral issues, it truly shed some major light on things we could do to help. She tells you things she did as a parent, that I have never thought of doing, that could truly help everyone involved. I am so very thankful I was able to take the course.
  • What I like most about this course is that it extensively explains Autism and how to communicate with victims to improve themselves.
  • It is vital to the need of the society.
  • I enjoyed every beat of this training, the examples featured live scenarios and was quite educating and engaging.
  • I found out that certain foods and preservatives and trigger behavior, c-section is a main factor in autistic children's boys being a high percentage
  • I liked everything about the training. It was very well delivered and understood.
  • It is very educative and very phenomenal in fact it is very amazing
  • The presentation was fantastic....lively and with a sense of humour
  • The class was expository and very insightful, Barbara was very detailed and gave real scenarios using her family as case study, thereby talking from a place of knowledge gained through experience.
  • I did enjoy every bit of the training which was detailed and it really exposed me to helping people living with autism which I was not exposed to back in my home country.  I liked your simple method of presentation .
  • I like the way you teach and the way you organize the Zoom meeting it was cam and friendly.
  • I really like taken care of people both young and old, and I will definitely do well in the program
  • I appreciate and commend the organizer of this course because it is educative and it is about humanity and its wellbeing.
  • What I like most is the  way you delivered the training, by making it a real-life situation and citing Braeden as our case study. This method was really explanatory and there was no dull moment throughout the training.
  • Thank you so much for the training, it was awesome.   The training was very informative, your demonstrations were also very good. The training has given me a lot of insights that I never had before.
  • ·         I liked the training as a whole, because it opened my understanding on how to provide genuine care for the people with Autism.    I like the presentation as the trainer trained from her practical experience. such practical experience  explained certain behaviors one may likely witness in people with Autism and how one will handle such behaviors.

·         Once again i want to appreciate you  for the amazing education on autism and its concepts. You were very clear and explicit,  I have learnt so many things i did not  know about autism and i will also share my knowledge with my family and the world at large.

  • I attended the training today and it was very educational. I learned a lot about working with people living with autism and how to help them in their day to day life. I also learn more about autism and some of the things that can predispose to the condition and how parents behavior can help future off springs.
  • The training was quite detailed, educative and impacting.  Sincerely, the fact that Autism could be prevented and possibly cured is news to me. Because, the understanding has always been that its not preventable nor curable.
  • I just want to appreciate the training we had today (24/2/20224).    I don't understand much about the autistic children, but using your child as an example throughout today's class has really given me the opportunity to learn a lot.
  • I will begin by thanking you immensely for this great idea of sensitisation on Autism awareness, understanding  and how to manage it. I have learned and understood a lot from your class.   I admire your courage and acceptance to the fact that your handsome son is a victim of Autism and then you use him as an example in your teachings. Because some parents will breakdown and lock up, of which will not be helpful to the child.   Furthermore you are truly a "WARRIOR MOTHER", You deserve that title 100%.   You have been there for your son all the way. You even went Further to carry on research and study to gain more knowledge about Autism which you can use to manage your son and also to sensitise and help others.   May God bless you immensely and may He continue to bless you with strength, Courage, knowledge and all it takes to continue this beautiful journey.   More so, your teaching method is top notch. Well explicit and elaborated, easy to understand. It was also relaxed and friendly hence facilitates our understanding to the course. The breaks were of course much needed especially for me. It helps me to reload my brain and ready for further assimilation.  There is quite alot I did not know or understand about Autism of which I know now, all thanks to you.   For example :   I did not know Autism is common is boy than girls. I get to know and understand why. I get to understand different autistic behaviours and how to manage them.  I am also able to identify their different sensitivity levels be it hypersensitive or hyposensitive and will definitely be able to identify this in a child and knowledge on how to manage it.   Another important knowledge acquired is the various biomedical methods used to improve their conditions. Eg stem cells. Understand their sensory needs, better ways of communication e.g talk slowly,  use few words, talk with actions, Use pictures or chats...etc.   Again, I learned the exclusive and replacement methods we can use to manage their behaviours depending on the situation.
  • Thank you very much the training was a great one. I like your communication skills, I like the examples, they made it easier for me to under the course. I enjoyed the way you break down the course and communicate it so well.
  • As a state registered nurse for 20 years back in Africa Cameroon, and for just my three months here in Canada and especially  today have this five hours course is like have greatly transformed me and also basically with enough education on Autism. I use to think it's all primarily based on genetics. I like the manner in which you present chronologically in simple terms fluently for better understanding using a typical example being your son. It's really challenging
  • I liked that i was learning from someone who has a loved one with this condition because you taught in a way that we enjoyed and allowed us to understand from your perspective as well.
  • I do like the behaviour section.
  • There are a few things I like about autism, first, is the fact that am giving a helping hand to someone in need and love to make them feel happy. It is so satisfactory to know that there is something spectacular about them, they may have exceptional memory, give attention to detail, and ability to see a pattern and connection that others may not notice.
  • Things i liked :  Attention to detail.  Personal examples
  • Some of the things I like about autism is taking care of someone who needs somebody to take care of him or her and make the person feel happy by showing  love for them to know that they are special.
  • Thank you so much for the Autism Caregiver training I attended.   in fact I really enjoyed your lectures, it was amazing and I really learnt a lot. I also love to work with you.
  • I love the fact that you gave lots of examples and explanations from real-life experiences. And also, the fact that you used your child (Son) as a case study.
  • THE COURSE IS VERY INFORMATIVE, HAVE LEARNT A LOT, TO ME THIS IS A GAME CHANGER.
  • Thank you for the opportunity and knowledge that you generously shared with us.  The training is comprehensive content covering various aspects of autism caregiving, including understanding autism spectrum disorders, effective communication strategies, behavior management techniques, and resources for support. I learned a lot of practical tips and strategies for improving interactions with individuals on the autism spectrum, enhancing empathy, and fostering a supportive environment. Most of all, the opportunities for hands-on learning, and real-life scenarios to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations as well as flexibility in pacing and completion, allowing us learners to study at their own pace and convenience.
  • Barbara knows the subject and delivered exceptionally.
  • I found the course material very detailed, which I liked.  I liked the fact that I was given handouts so that I can refer back to my learning.  I liked the fact that you know firsthand as a mom what it is like to experience a child with autism and that you gave personal examples of your own life with your son.
  • I liked the fact that you use real life practicals to help the teaching settle in.   also the fact that you’re confident, well equipped and well prepared for the teaching including the materials attached to the handouts.
  • The way and manner the lecturer go about her Autism lecture really give me a full comprehensive update about Autism, l have learned a lot about Autism but this one l learned today is comprehensive and simplicity.
  • Dear Barbara,  There are many things I like about the course, but the two things that stood out the most for me are the fierceness and determination with which you pursued the wellbeing of your son. As a mother who had repeatedly spent days and nights in hospitals with my own children on different occasions (not autism related); the strength you displayed not only reminded me of those days and nights but it got me fighting back tears during the course and appreciating the opportunity to join in the force to help families going through this challenge of autism by way of being an Autism caregiver, to seek, innovate and provide as much solutions as there can possibly be in this field. I also like the eloquence and vivaciousness with which you delivered the course, you were not boring.
  • The course is perfect , Informative and Educative.
  • The facilitator has a  broad knowledge about the program, which is well appreciated. Her communication style was very clear and accurate. She is very effective in providing practical strategies, empathy, and support. She made the session's relevance to the caregiver's needs, clarity of information, and the caregiver's overall satisfaction.  Her  confidence in
  • implementing the suggested interventions was great.
  • What I did not like about the course

  • I don't know of any.
  • Nothing I like all about it
  • I liked everything about the class.
  • There was nothing I did not like.
  • I would have love to have this section for more than 5hrs
  • I can't say anything bad  about the session.
  • to be honest I haven’t see what I don’t like about it
  • The program in general was Amazing. If there's anything above amazing I will vouch for it.
  • There's nothing I didn't like about it.
  • The session duration felt a bit lengthy; shorter, focused segments might enhance engagement.
  • I did not like that it went so quickly But I know it would be hard to get any of us to commit to longer.
  • I honestly can't say anything that I didn't like.
  • Sincerely I must tell you that there was nothing I didn’t like. You did justice to the class. You are highly appreciated and i will do all i can to recommend other people to you .
  • All the topics are meaningful and related for me, because I have 17 years old non-verbal, severe Autism. I don't have any concern about the course.
  • None
  • I did not like that the session was only five hours I wished if it would have been a two day session.
  • I found everything you discussed relevant and helpful.
  •  I would have liked more time spent on behavior and less on bio medical.  While you are obviously very passionate about this, focusing on practical ways that I can make changes at the hospital vs tackling the medical system's stance on the bio medical piece would have been more beneficial for me.
  • Personally, just too many emails with content. That’s really it!

  • Nothing
  • There was not a single thing that I disliked about the course.
  • Did not like use of words like kid.... they are children.  Kids are baby goats. Lol😊
  • I liked everything about the course and appreciate that Barbara continues to extend her support and insight outside of the course.
  • Absolutely no complaints at all. loved every bit of it from the beginning up on till the end of the course.
  • The luck of knowledge how to handle a child with autism.
  • The time was too short.
  • Honestly I didn’t like how we can make a serious notion so short and that’s not on your presentation. I don’t like how in real world this disease is not more known or taken seriously .     You bring forth what more of us should and that’s voice that non verbals don’t have but do in so many other ways.
  • What I didn’t like was learning how underfunded and uneducated we as a society are when it comes to the issue of autism.
  • What I didn’t like is realizing how uninformed people, including myself, are about ASD.  I want to play a part in that slowly changing.
  • Dealing with autistic kids is challenging but your experience and how you dealt with makes it seem easier than i thought.    Autistic kids also deserve the same treatment like other kids and thus making it seem an interesting venture about dealing with them
  • I enjoyed the class so it is hard to pick something I don’t like.  It’s hard to sit in front of a computer for so long but with the current circumstances it is understandable.
  • ·         I liked everything.
  • I think I liked everything about the class.
  • I liked everything especially your determination when it comes to getting what’s best for your son.
  • There was an awful lot of paperwork to print out – so I was luckily able to use my second computer screen and read through that way – hard to avoid lots of handouts, but I know I have access to read it that way rather than printing it out.
  • I have nothing negative to say about this course.
  • Personally I had no issues with the class.
  • Nothing
  • I did not just like it, I loved it!!!
  • I think the time is too short because there's a lot to cover. I want to believe that with Covid-19 gradually being defeated, old methods of teaching will resume.
  • What I didn’t like that is short duration of course
  • There is none
  • Risk aspect of hitting of the head as sign of pain / Cutting itself with an object.    That Sensory sensitive touch disorder may affect one senses, like hearing, touch, or tasting. Having unusually high or low pain discomfort, talking about sensory issues like Sound, Hyper rejecting - Hypo receiving.
  • I like everything about the course.   It’s a very interesting course.
  • Not available.   the presentation/training was very educational.  I did not find anything unlikeable.

  • The hours allotted for the Training is not adequate. I would recommend more hours.
  • Honestly there is no aspect of the teachings that I didn't like, not one dull moment listening to you
  • I don’t like the fact that the stem cell is costly even though it can be found in certain areas of the body it is still not right.

  • I don’t like the fact that we cannot attend in person.   I feel like the whole experience would have been even better, however I was still able to get a lot of information that I think is very useful not just for working with people experiencing autism but how to accommodate and deal with them when we find ourselves in any society with them.
  • I didn't like the long class. Though I pulled through. Probably, a two session class would have been simpler and a continuation would have also served as a refresher course, because you would have done some recap before heading straight up into the main course. However, I pulled through.
  • Nothing
  • What i don't like is the timing . It's very short
  • There is nothing I did not like about the training.
  • I didn't like the time because I feel is should be longer because I was enjoying it. ðŸ˜…
  • I loved everything about the training!
  • What I don't like, can't think of any now.
  • Nothing to figure  out
  • I feel the concept is too broad to be taken in a day and within few hours.
  • ·         I liked everything so invariably i did not like nothing.
  • The little time we had on the lecture cause am willing to know better on care giving.
  • Few things I did not like about the training is that the course is a day training, it very short to study autism within a day,  it can be  difficult for a student who did not have a knowledge of autism before to understand like  Developmental Support Worker who had a wider knowledge of autism .
  • what I did not  like —  Time for the training is short especially for those who does not have experience ( knowledge of autism ).
  • What I didn't like about the training was the duration.
  • I liked everything about the course.
  • You don't like distraction.
  • One thing i do not like considering the growing number of autistic children and adults in Canada and across the globe. Not much has been done by the government in scientific research, to help people with this disability.    However, we need more people to be trained or mentored on how to live or coexist with people with this disability, but unfortunately only few people are willing to learn about it
  • All microphones of  participants were on during the presentation. This was not nice because of distractions and everyone seem to go live at the same time .  I also do not like the fact that screen recording during training was not encouraged. I did screen recording a bit but realized audio was muted when I wanted to play back for more  memory and connection.
  • I did not like that we are few in the class.
  •  I liked everything about the course

  • There wasnt anything I would change it was fun and informative.
  • What I didn't like about yesterday was the time frame. I wished it would have taken longer.
  • There really wasn't anything I didn't enjoy.
  • I didn't find anything I disliked.
  • it was a lot of information all at once.
  • I didn’t like the fact that the course was administered in one sitting. I believe it will be more impactful if the class was segmented into two or three class sessions on different days. This I believe would have created greater level of participation and assimilation of the entire course content. It would have also eliminated stress and dizziness among participants. Because we all are from different time zones which means some of us are actually using our rest and bed time for the training after a hectic day at work.
  • There is nothing about class that I did not like. It was a very informative class
  • The only thing that I did not like about the course was that it didn’t have enough time to have specific questions answered.

  • There was nothing that I didn't like. The class was very informative.
  • I can't think of anything I didn't like about the course. I experienced some annoying connectivity issues during the course but that was mostly a problem on my end.
  • Wish we could go on and on.
  • I would have loved if we have more time to discuss in more practical time. We have a limited time
  • I wish the class was longer.
  • Nothing because it was discussed  very well with good examples given.
  • All about the course I like about it especially the way our speaker Ms. Barbara give us the lecture.
  • I didn’t like the course for the beginning because I have no patience to understand the learning process. But lately I realized I was lucky to enrolled the course . As a PSW I have another chance to find a job who are diagnosed to ASD with a high rate .
  • Perhaps I will say that some persons who are not very good with the computer may have some difficulties joining the class, but this is usually resolved early.
  • I didn't  like only is you are very fast to speak.    you explain it fast and i cannot get it well because  im not a fast learner. But its ok i can read the papers  that you email to me.
  • l like everything about the course because everything was well precised; the time duration, the training materials well explained.
  • About the training itself - nothing.  What i don’t like were the noises from the participants not muting that were annoying and disturbing.
  • I have no problem about the training itself but only the participants who joined. It was very noisy to the point that time is running and wasted. But overall, it was one of the best training i had.
  • The duration of the course was inadequate
  • None
  • If they have a tantrum.  I did not like some other ladies joining with our zoom their mobile phone didn’t mute or silent that’s why we hear their voice if they talk to somebody else.
  • There is nothing that I disliked about the training. The only one thing that I had issue with was signing in to the online platform and I've missed the first part of the training due to these technical difficulties.
  • i didnt like the zoom.  its better if actual face to face
  • actually I don’t like if the Autism people have tantrum. But when I attend this autism course I learn how to handle it.
  • I dont like online class
  • I love everything it really helpful the way you explain its very clear i learned a lot.
  • Some students are not considerate enough by unmuting their speaker that disturb the flow of the session.
  • Would have liked the body breaks for seat work explained more.
  •  I Feel there should be visual aids and short videos to buttress some points
  •  Nothing.
  •  What I didn't like about the training is the time it was scheduled, it should be done in the morning.
  •  Honestly  I don't have anything  that I don't  like because you did your best to discuss with us and you gave  examples  for  us to understand  more.
  •  i don't like autism kids must deal with Social phobia , Obsessive compulsive  behavior, Avoidance  behavior, Hyper vigilance/ hypo vigilance, Rigid routines resistance to change
  •  most of the discussion is I like it, and everything is fine, well explained.  However, there are times that some of the topics were discussed a little bit faster, that sometimes I can’t catch up.  but eventually the topic was so interesting.
  •    I honestly did not liked about the disease “Autism” which can be so cruel to the child future and so painful for the parents for the rest of their lives.
  •  None
  •  Nothing! All topics about autism is very well said.
  •  The seminar was too fast for a broad topic like this. I had typed a question during the seminar but wasn’t answered. You said we can just type questions but it wasn’t read and answered. I  assumed  maybe because we  were running out of time.
  •  What i didn’t like was that you told the student many times to turn on their camera or they can’t  continue the course but of course i understand it’s not your fault but it’s just so annoying😌😌
  • I have nothing to dislike.

  • Some of the information seemed very advanced even as a nursing student; I was getting confused with the information about opioids and gluten. I was struggling to understand the idea of not being able to digest foods due to the lack of enzymes, but also holding onto too many of the toxins that may be in foods but in very small amounts.
  • Not applicable
  • I can't think of anything that i didn't like about the course for it benefits the one who is taking it as well as those people who has Autism. It would help me and the person with autism understand each other much better.
  •  Covid Immunization belief shared that I don't feel is credible yet.
  • None
  • Nothing
  • What I did not like is that I’m not expose to this kind of case because I’m caring a dialysis patient but it’s a nice experience though.
  • Nothing.  I like all.
  • No mention of how racism impacts people of color with autism.
  • Because it was short, there was not enough time for the group to connect or hear their experiences.
  • I did not notice the zoom link and you can resend the link on the training day because some people can delete their email message by message.
  • On our end sometimes it would freeze and begarbled .
  • Maybe I would have liked to hear some of the challenges that family members face when they learn about their children are on the spectrum. What help can they get and how to introduce this to friends and family so that they are not overwhelmed
  • honestly, I can't say i disliked anything.   would be interested in a longer course for sure
  • Other than a bit of cutting out during zoom meeting, I have no dislikes
  • I did not like your intro.  It made me very sad to hear all the struggles you went through so this mood hung over me the entire time. You had me crying a couple of times and I don't like to cry in front of others, especially staff but I survived so I should thank you for showing me its ok to show emotions.   I feel that you should start the presentation with your credentials and just touch on the struggles you had to overcome to bring your beautiful children into this world.
  • The only thing that I could say that I didn't like was the fact that this course wasn't in person. I feel we would have received more information had we done the course for 2 days.
  • Short period of time allocated for the course.
  • my client is older so a lot of the info did not apply to him
  • It was too much information for 4 hrs but excellent topics
  • There's nothing that I did not like about the training
  • None.
  • I did not like the amount of personal information shared at the beginning. It was too much. I recognize that some of it was need to build a background.  However , I would suggest
  • Narrowing it down a bit.
  • N/A
  • There isn't anything I didn't like about it.
  • The schedules of the training. I suggest that the training should always be available to those that are interested at least once a month, based on my personal experience.  I have been waiting to take the course for about 3 months now.
  • There was a time that zoom  hang up,   Sometimes it was poor connections but it's ok not bothered me.
  • There was nothing I did not like about this course.
  • Nothing
  •  I can't say that there's anything that we don't like. It was a lot of information to process at once but you allotting time for breaks was beneficial for everyone.

  • No complaints about this course.   Very educational.
  • what I disliked is the light blinded me behind your head a lot.   lol.
  • I found that the course was too short
  • i like everything had no dislikes about this course.
  • I have no dislikes about the course.  I guess the only thing would be is that it would have been great to meet in person.
  • I wish it could have been in person.   The light in the background was distracting.
  • Nothing to dislike. Enjoyed all the topics. You are an inspiration.
  • I would have liked to have visuals. On red flags to look for.
  • To be completely honest, the information about diet, blood brain barrier and toxic overload scared me. This was all completely new information and it makes me wonder if I have inadvertently done harm to myself or my family by not being aware. It's not that I didn't like this about the course, but more that it is scary to think about. I can, however, see how necessary and important it is.
  • I didn't like that it wasn't long enough.
  • I didn’t like that there wasn’t feedback throughout the session. I get it that it was an online training but still helps to have input to make it more rounded.
  • The course was amazing. Maybe could be longer as in 2 days .  A lot of information to process.
  • The only suggestion I have is to maybe put the notes on a white board. The information you need to take notes on.  So that people know exactly to write down.
  • I wish it could've been longer because of all the information given to us.
  • I don’t like that the sessions quickly went by.
  • I didn't like that the workshop was on a Saturday because my daughter was home.
  • It was a lot of information to take in a short time.   I also  didn't have any of the charts or calendar. I will look and see if i was mistaken and miss them but would love to use them.
  • I did not like all the print outs
  • Needs to be longer
  • It was all perfect, maybe some activities to do or questions/scenerios for us to answer as a group
  • ·         I didn’t like that so much information had to be crammed into 4 hours, it needs to be longer, possibly 2-3 days.
  • I liked everything about it.
  • Though I didn’t like that it was just only a day.
  • ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I LOVED EVERYTHING.
  • The long time but it was very informative
  • ·         Everything was good
  • Sometimes it felt like we were going off topic and I got a little lost about what we were talking about
  • I enjoyed the whole workshop.   No complaints.
  •  It was all perfect, maybe some activities to do or questions/scenerios for us to answer as a group.
  • The only thing I didn’t like was that it was too short 😞 a lot of information not enough time.
  • The timing was very short and quite difficult to discuss extensively and ask questions sufficiently.  There was no opportunity to introduce ourselves and give a simple message about why we joined the course.  There was no early bird discount for individuals that registered early or within a certain timeline.
  •  I didn’t like how sometimes it was a little fast paced and a lot of info but I understand that’s because of trying to get through as much info as possible in the time frame allowed.
  • all the information was good
  • not enough videos.
  • it was too fast; I couldn’t keep up with what you were saying. Really hard for me to comprehend what you were saying.
  • living in the north it would be hard for us to keep up with a healthy menu considering there’s not much for jobs in our community and the nearest store is 2 hours away.
  • would be more beneficial if we could attend in person session as online one has to go through it fast and not enough time for questions.
  •  It was too lengthy;duration for online classes shouldn’t take time. Students tend to get bored in classes when are too long thereby reducing level of attention. However, I was able to get everything lectured
  •  needs to be longer
  • Some didn’t like that the training was short, they felt like they could learn a lot more from you.
  • I didn’t like the short amount of time for breaks because I was hungry and had to have my lunch quickly and I usually take my time when I have something to eat.  I do understand though about all the information that you have to go over and I appreciate the breaks.
  • What was the seizures part
  • I did not like that it was so short but as you mentioned there are more options to continue to study.
  • I felt it was easy to lose attention.
  • I have nothing to say on this because I really enjoyed the class.
  • I really like and appreciate this course.   nothing to dislike about it.
  • More visual and interactive. In person
  • The only thing I wish was different is that the session was in person rather than online. I feel that it would be more interactive and we would aquire more information that way.
  • I didn’t like that it was in zoom and not in person, I feel like you get more of a connection and better learning person to person.
  • it's not available in person and it has to be paid for what knowledge should be available to anyone.
  • One thing I didn't like about this course however was the overload of information to take in over each 1 hour session.
  • I like the course and I enjoyed the teachings but more hours should be assigned.
  • I Like everything about the course and there is nothing I don't like.
  • I did like all of the course parts.
  • I thought the class was too short and that I had my own personal problems as being a parent but I think the course was still worth it!
  • It was too long for a zoom meeting
  • Non.
  • i am very pleased about the way she taught
  • The breaks are too little
  • It was quite loaded. I would have to do more readings.
  • There is nothing I don’t like about the course .
  • Absolutely there is nothing, I didnt like about this training.
  •   I haven't found any yet.
  • Only that it ended.  I could listen to Mrs. Lebo for hours. She definitely needs her own podcast to go with her course.
  • What I didn't like about the course is that it's fast and quick for a day.
  • Not applicable.
  • Not applicable.
  • It’s a very informative course
  • Not at all, everything about the training was fantastic.
  • for now everything about the course it’s absolutely great
  • too much personal reference
  • Disliked that the class was for a day, giving that there's so much to learn about being an autism caregiver.
  • There is nothing I do not like
  • N/A
  • I hate seeing people that are less privileged and been maltreated
  • For now, I am yet to discover what I did not like about the course.
  • What I did not like is that there was not enough publicity about this training. I have been in GTA for more than two years, just less than a week a friend just hinted to me about the training.  Despite the short period, I was able to refer to  just three persons.
  • There was nothing to dislike
  •         I sincerely do not see anything that I didn't like in the training.

·         I liked everything about the course

  • There was nothing that could be thrown away in the training. The Biomedical aspect looks ambiguous for non-science mind but a careful study with attention to details would make it understandable.
  • I like everything about the training and also like your mode of teaching.  You give room for break during the training, asking questions according to the topics you taught.   You're the best.
  • To be honest, there is nothing I didn't like about the class.  On the contrary I loved everything about the class and will suggest  that you continue because it will be of great help to so many families. Because Autism awareness and management is still limited out there. Especially from my area where I come from, some families who are not aware about it sometimes link it to something spiritual. I have knowledge about Autism but I didn't have detailed and well refined and advanced methods of managing Autism. So thanks again once more for the class, it has really been of great help to me.
  • I liked everything, but I wish you asked us questions after every topic.
  • I can never think to dislike this course
  • I like everything about the class
  • I did not like the fact that autism has no cure or solution, seeing them not being able to express themselves like everyone else saddens me.
  • Being on zoom makes it little bit tough to concentrate
  • I don't like that autism does not have a solution or a permanent cure and that people with this disability cannot not express themselves and it is  painful to see.
  • I did not like the fact that Autism does not have a cure, and this saddens me because of the stress the children ( those affected ) and their parents go through. I got so emotional when you were saying or narrating the things involved in caring for an autistic child
  • N/A TO ME, EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT TO ME.
  • It’s my first time to attend this kind of training in which I appreciate and love everything about it especially Ma’am Barbara where she is very well detailed and interactive.
  • It sounds simple but complex
  • I would have preferred the workshop to be an extra hour or two longer going into more depth of the handouts.
  • So far I feel the training is well loaded hence no dislike of any kind from me
  • What l didn't like about the course is about the time frame, for me l believe 5 hours is too short for this course, the presenter really made the course more interesting for us.
  • I cannot think of anything that I did not like about the training, but only sad to discover that not enough funding is yet to be dedicated to research, treatment and support for this disorder or disease...as you would rather put it.
  • Suggestion and other Comments

  • More awareness is needed in schools and on the job.
  • It’s a good a review and  you make it more clearer session
  • No other suggestions.
  • I can't think of anything that would make it better.
  • I would love to see the materials designed in a workbook format. If the text was live you could also use the search function to find specific things. I see myself using this as a reference and I think it would add a lot to the materials. I am a designer so it might just be me but I can see the potential.
  •  So informative will continue to get more information going forward.
  • you are an amazing person ❤️ . Knowing  you today is  blessed to me
  • thanks for breaking it down to have more understanding about this, I so much acknowledge and god bless you.
  • Yes, Barb, what you do is amazing. zoom meetings aren't even enough. Africa doesn't know anything about this. Africa is safe to travel to, Kenya is for sure. Please consider it.
  • It was quite an amazing section and I didn't regret taking this course.
  • Consider incorporating breakout sessions for more interactive discussions among participants.
  • With your experience, I know it would be stretching, But I would have liked to see more information on adults with Autism. I know Braeden is just getting there. I work with kids in their 20's.  If you have  any resource recommendations for this age group, I would really appreciate it.
  • From our first interaction on the phone, to the zoom meeting ending I was so pleased by your spirit. You have loving, teaching spirit. It's so kind and it shows in your delivery with your presentation. Braeden is a blessed child to have you and your husband as parents.   I am now studying to become a CSW. I would love to attend more of your sessions or any informative sessions. If you know anyone who needs a volunteer in the CSW department please let me know.
  • I’m new to Canada and I've been trying to figure out an area I'll specialize in, now having listened to your lectures today, I feel inspired and motivated to dive into helping and creating awareness for the care of autistic individuals. I come from Nigeria and little or no attention is given to the Autistic individuals in our country. I will do my best to learn more, train more and spread the good news around me . I would like to get further training. How do I go about it?   I also need to get a job in this field. I know you can be of help when my work permit comes out. I would like to request one of the books titled “The Beatty Method”.
  • Great information, with full Details, I will be using those strategies for my son.
  • the most important things I wanted to know was discussed.
  • My suggestion I think it would be a great idea if you can get into the school  to help train teachers and other staff members how to deal with kids who has autism sometimes their approach is not helping the kids .
  • Barb, thank you thank you thank you for taking your 197 courses and 26 certifications to allow you to provide a course like this.     Are you able to provide links to articles around stem cell therapy and HBOT as it relates to ASD – this was so fascinating.    I wonder if in future courses, it would be helpful to briefly touch upon supports available in the community (ie FSCD), and how supports can look different based on the one’s diagnosis specifically to the 3 DSM5 levels of social/communication deficits and/or 3 levels of behaviours (but I also wonder if you do these in your 1:1s anyway)  Would you be able to provide a fee chart for the different types of consultation you provide?
  • You were very engaging and easy to listen to.  You passion is well appreciated
  •  Piggy backing off of answer 2) - maybe placing content into one booklet/pdf and then adding a section in top right corner for ‘barbs notes’.
  • Thank you for your commitment to this cause. Your efforts are making a real difference in the lives of those affected by autism.
  • None
  • A well-organized, well-thought-out presentation
  • Immunizations may or may not work but choices should be given for those who choose to not have them given to their children or themselves.
  • There are no other comments or suggestions, Barbara did a wonderful job at sharing and exploring information regarding Autism.
  • No bad comment, not much to suggest just that people need to know about this and spread the word
  • As I have done the zoom meeting with this kind of situation, I like the discussions that we have done how to handle the situation w/ autism.  I don’t have any suggestions about this topic that we discuss
  • This is the most beneficial course. The information is presented clearly. I found the intervention strategies to be practical and child family oriented.  I Found that the intervention strategies really work, is a wealth of knowledge  and a wonderful instructor. I am grateful  to have  had this opportunity.
  • The course was well put together.
  • Your material should be brought forward to health seminars and school environments.   Pushed forward to beyond 18 as well they just don’t stop growing or not need the human growth to learn opportunities.
  • I would like to see autism training continue to get implemented in schools and the public space.  I would like to continue learning and working with you and with the new information, using my experience as an educator, to enter the work space and work with children with autism.
  • I am delighted at the job you are doing as a mom and an education.  I would like to meet with you again and learn more, as well as discuss future steps and employment.  Please let me know when you would be free!
  • Am super excited and i can’t wait to deal with them and provide all the necessary support needed from the knowledge acquired from the training
  • I just want to say that you are a smart, strong and brave woman.  I can’t imagine myself doing all the things that you’ve done for your loving son,.  You’re a fantastic mom and a wonderful  teacher for giving us all the knowledge that you’ve learned about it.  sharing this information to us is very helpful, not only to people who have autism but for family members and caregivers.  I now have the proper knowledge to assess and care for their needs.
  • I just want to express my gratitude the way you taught and explained this course and the information you provided was so knowledgeable in such simple and clear way you explained
  • I will encourage my friends to enroll for the next class
  • I have attached a document with 3 useful links – one is a book I am just reading about a mothers story about her daughter, and I wasn’t sure if you’d come across this book? One of the therapy’s that might be helpful to know about is Craniosacral therapy  (CST)- so I have added a link to Robert Harris’s website – He teaches and treats people with CST (including paediatrics) and may be a contact or be able to help in finding a therapist with skills in treating autistic individuals. I was thinking Braeden might benefit? Also when I did my first CST course the teacher was Tad Wanveer and I will attach his article for you which talks about how CST can help.
  • There are a lot of useful resources. You can never stop learning!  I definitely feel a lot more prepared and confident.
  • I am more aware of what it means to take care and of and interact  with people with autism.
  • This training needs to get to every corner of the world, some parts of Africa are still in the dark when it comes to Autism. Plus Mrs. Lebo is a great teacher and Instructor, she sure will make it very easy to understand.
  • I think you are doing a great job and l think it helps for people to have a good understanding of this disease called Autism.
  • Barbara’s Lebo Our mentor. You do a great job. Thank you so much
  • I like the charts you given in the course
  • The lecture was very interesting and highly educating
  • My lecturer Mrs. Barbara Lebo was excellent of her behavior out-spoken.    Sound so well, Effective, respectful, impressive. Her workflow was repeatedly wonderful and sincere.     My wish as an Autism caregiver, is to be vibrant or extraordinary much better, good stand to find a job.
  • I feel there should be more interaction with the student and the facilitator during the training.
  • Ultimately  I got the value for my money
  • When a dish is well served and tastes delicious what's there to be added?
  • I am so glad I learnt a lot from this course.
  • I agree with you on the  fact that this disorder  (autism) is mostly caused by the advancement of  society, as society is advancing we are exposing our self to a different food (GMO’s) and so many things that are damaging our bodies. why should a product like cigarette ever be created? what good does it do to our body.   absolutely nothing it is totally useless yet we create it. Drinks, food, milk , baby foods are all contaminated nothing is natural again, all artificial made calamities.
  • May I suggest recorded versions of your teachings in addition to handouts? Hearing and reading again makes a lot of sense.
  • I'm already applying for a program in Niagara College for Graduate Certificate - Autism and Behavioural Science.
  • My suggestion is if you could make it a two day program even it means additional cost, it worth it.  It may interest you to know that I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Diploma in Developmental Service worker (DSW )   I will be glad to share my experience further with you in future

  • I have no suggestions for now. I will reach out to you when I have suggestions for you.
  • Barb Lebo is indeed a good teacher.
  • Barb, you are indeed a great facilitator, and I look forward to meeting you in person someday. Keep up the good work.

  • it was a fantastic time. Thank you for sharing and still sharing.. Keep it up
  • No comments
  • None from my side.
  • All I have to say is thank you for your good work.
  • I feel like the class should be more interactive, no comments i enjoyed it.
  • My comment and suggestion is that the instructor should try as much as possible increase the numbers  of the training, so that people with little or no knowledge of the course will  have time to read and study.  Also try to reduce the course fees so that many people can benefits from the course.
  • It’s a very interesting topic. I suggest you increase the training to two days
  • If I will make a suggestion, I'd like for it to be broken down into  days to help assimilate better
  • No suggestion, everything was great.
  • Thank you so much I really appreciate you and your program,  you are the best it was a wonderful program you spend more 4 hours with us, I was able to understand you better. I really learned a lot from you and am looking forward to work with you again
  • You are well researched  on the training and you consistently apply this knowledge to ensure that our training goes smoothly.
  • You are a such a wonderful person fond to be with and playful, a great teacher, a funny and lovely woman and someone that wants everyone around her to be happy. I don't know  what else to use to describe you. To be sincere I love you.
  • I think there should be more encouragement in our community to  learn about this disability and how we can coexist with people that are autistic
  • It will be nice to have all participants of the training introduce themselves just the way you did before the training. This will enable them acknowledge who referred them and appreciate each other more.  It will be kind to allow each participants who paid for the training free access to you on a one on one consultation without a consultation fee of S50 Canadian dollars as incentive.    Practically, extending a job offer with you to interested participants you have trained will create more experience and connection as an Autism Caregiver Specialist .   Microphones of participants should be muted during training.   Microphone can be allowed when a hand ✋is  raised for comments/ questions. Screen recording of live training should be encouraged with audio permission.
  • None for now.
  • Mrs. Barbara Lebo had an excellent knowledge of the course and the material emailed to me. She was able to bring it across in a way that was easily understood. She used a lot of examples and shared her personal experiences which made the course very interesting.
  • I like the fact that the training material was highly informative.
  • Maybe add a section in the training that deals with children who have trauma??   A lot of foster children in Washington State have autism.
  • It was indeed a blessing and privilege to be a part of yesterdays training and, I must say that you are such a superwoman, and I admire your courage and persistence.
  • The length of the course was perfect for the amount of material.
  • Not that I can think of.
  • Maybe some examples of high functioning autism and what the difference is.
  • Will like to suggest that you segment and break the course into a minimum of two class sessions. You could also include videos and animations as part of your presentation toolset.
  • I have none. Just want you to know I appreciate your work.
  •   Overall the class sincerely warmed my heart as I was able to gain confidence pertaining to my daughters development after hearing how identical my daughters behaviors are to your son’s when he was at her age. My only suggestion is that you never stop teaching this class.

  • Yes. It would have been nice for the group to talk about their child and we could have shared experiences as you shared with your son.

  • I think it might be helpful to include in the pre-course emails some sort of visual instruction on how to work the Zoom meeting app. Some participants obviously had a hard time finding the mute button.
  • You know your opinions and you are a good Teacher.
  • It would be nice if we can attempt one or two behavioral interview questions at the end of the session
  • You are a good Instructor with rich knowledge of the subject matter.
  • I just wanna say thank  you for sharing your knowledge and experience to us.
  • No comment or suggestions because it all perfect  went well.  I   like she make  examples of the son about the behaviour and attention.
  • No comment at all .
  • The trainer did great sharing her personal experiences with us during the course. It would be nice if there was enough time for students to share their personal experiences or observations as well.   Also I hope in the future there will translations in French for those who do not understand English.
  • Thank you for going through the course with us, it was really enlightening.  I'm so glad I was able to attend the class. Thank you for your time and assistance.   Being a listener is a pleasure and nice to meet you via Zoom.  You’re a good teacher you speak clearly and you gave an example. Online is boring if the teacher is not good in teaching but on how you speak even though online you caught my attention.  it feels like i dont like to miss every single minute. I need it, and additional knowledge. You’re right, dont stop learning and every day is a learning process. Im so thankful for being a part in your lesson specifically Autism on how to deal with it.  You have a good heart for helping other people. I wish i can meet you in person. Thank you so much!   I wish you all the best.
  • I think maybe next time you explain it slowly so that i can understand  it better and more  example  to discuss  so that we can learn  more and more ideas  to gain.
  • Yeah the autism caregiver training was quite interesting and educative, and l suggest that this autism caregiver training should continue globally in order to create more awareness about autism disorder and it's management, and also people who can develop interest to work with autism children
  • The handouts you sent me were detailed and helpful and i can surely apply it if i opt to work as a PSW for an Autistic child/adult.
  • I like how you gave us handouts which is easier for us to understand especially it's a zoom meeting. I can't wait to use my knowledge related to this course.
  • I suggest organized seminars at intervals
  • I like to learn types of Autism Spectrum
  • I think next time please ask the ladies who join the zoom to don’t forget to silent or mute their mobile so they can’t disrupt the others.
  • You're a very good speaker, and it was very easy to understand and follow the training.
  • Being a listener is a pleasure and nice to meet you via Zoom.  You’re a good teacher.   you speak clearly and you gave an example. Online is boring if the teacher is not good in teaching but on how you speak even though online you caught my attention.  it feels like i dont like to miss every single minute. I need it, and additional knowledge. You’re right, dont stop learning and everyday is a learning process.  Im so thankful for being a part in your lesson specifically Autism on how to deal with it.  You have a good heart for helping other people. I wish i can meet you in person.  Thank you so much!   I wish you all the best.
  • More examples. i meant 4 hours is long but its not enough to learn more about autism.
  • I suggest that before start the zoom. You please remind them to mute or silent their mobile phone, so they cannot disturb you and other.
  • I enjoyed it.
  • I dont have any sugestions i think everything we need to learned about his already there.
  • I am looking forward to a follow up training or gathering which is physical set-up.
  • Would have liked to see the other participants during the session.
  • In addition to visual aids, the session should be more interactive and participant should be encouraged to talk about their experience and take away from session.
  • I think in class is better.
  • I have idea how to take care of the autism person.
  • No comments or suggestions
  • For me just continue  to discuss the way you are doing.     give more examples about your experiences  with your child because  it's really  help .
  •  I’m very thankful for this training Autism I got learned something and they have some technique of how to handle
  • I do learned these course although it is short hours.  Learned the specific things what to do, observation of their individual characters . For take care of autism is unique and have knowledge how to calm them during hyper vigilance  and hypo vigilance
  • All I can say is you did your part and well explained the course.  and thank you for the knowledge.  I learned a lot.
  •  I thoroughly enjoyed the class and learn so much things about Autism which I even haven’t heard of before. I wish I could have in-person class rather than having online classes.
  • I’m so happy  to learn more about Autism Training,  increase my knowledge and how to handle  this particular person .
  • Not at all. You did a great job everything is clear
  • I prefer to have a formal presentation of the topics via slide or something or videos to present. Also, the entire seminar was only one sided. It was like listening to a podcast. An interactive presentation could do better. Also, allow time for the listeners to interact if they would be given a chance to comment or to ask questions.
  • I admire you for having a heart to teach us about how to understand the needs of autism. You’re such a good mother and thank you a lot for giving your time for us
  • I hope more time to spend with this course and there will be in person learning.

  • I would recommend that the people taking the course were able to view the videos that you had made for your son, to get an idea exactly of how the video looked. I am personally a visual person; this would motivate me to stay more focused and engaged throughout the entire course. I really appreciate the behavioral aspect of the course, there are plenty of techniques that I would like to share with parents and support them with learning routines. Possibly adding videos that describe the anatomy and physiology of the biomedical portion of the class would be beneficial.
  • I had a partner who had colitis in his youth and then started passing out unexplainably and due to his shortened Intestine, I thought maybe he wasn’t getting enough nutrients so we went on a vegan diet and shortly after his symptoms went away. The gut/ brain connection is very  real.
  • Thank you for this course. After the session, I felt like I understood autism more, it has added confidence and I was more calm during my following shift.

  • It would be great to reach out to more people, and have them be educated as well about this disorder. Even just the basic facts about it, it would be a lot of help for them and for those who have this syndrome.
  • No

    None

  • The explanation of the training was clearly presented and made the entire course easy to understand.
  • Topics are nice and good to know.  Very interesting  and knowledgeable.

I like the way you explain and mimic even the way they talk. It’s a nice experience with me.

  • Bringing in a person with autism who is paid to talk to us about their own experience.
  • I loved the presentation, but I am not sure that the needs of everyone was addressed.   For example we are a crisis team, so we needed strategies on how to deal with persons experiencing autism. This was not addressed, so having questions before would help.
  • Where did you get your energy from? You are truly an amazing woman. Loved every minute of it.
  • I loved that you challenged doctors and followed your path!!! so proud of you!!
  • my comments would be maybe introducing your son as he truly is the star of the show
  • I have been an autistic caregiver for 18 years and I totally agree with all that you teach.
  • I wish we had more time with you to get deeper into the subjects you presented.  I think you are an amazing presenter/teacher.  I want more from you for our team members so I will be looking into finding more funding to have you present to us again in the future.  You need to write a book about your life and your son's life.  This would be a bestseller.
  • The only suggestion I have is to keep up the good work. I would’ve liked to learn more about dealing with persons in crisis because of the line of work I’m in.
  • Increase the period of time of the course to accommodate advanced studies on Autism.
  • Of course i like the seminar for exam if i go to the facility  and i have something like that then i know what to do for them and assisting them
  • interference with the video (pausing, fading out)
  • The course was intense, I would have appreciated the training broken up, so I can digest all the information that was coming at me.
  • In class training will be more fun and suitable if things get better in the near future on Covid-19 social distance guidelines
  • I don't have any suggestions.
  •
  • The comment that I have is to reaffirm that Barbara Lebo is exceptionally good at what she does and that I am highly fulfilled not just participating in the training but receiving the training under Barbara's tutelage. Suggestion? if there is any way you can reach out to the policy making people in Canada or in Ontario, awareness should be created for them to take Autism as a disease that required both federal and provincial attention.  I write to sincerely appreciate you for taking your time to thoroughly take us through a lot of things regarding Autism. You are a great teacher, a wonderful communicator and an amazing mother. In short, it was a stunning session and you are wonderfully outstanding in what you do.  I am glad that I participated in the training session.   Thank you and God bless.   I am very delighted in providing my heartfelt evaluation about the training.
  •  It was great training.    I hope I will meet you  in person.
  • I believe everyone should take it
  • We can't wait to see what other training we can take so we can better understand the needs of not only autistic kids but other special needs children as well.
  • We got the emails and very on hand and a lot of reading but very well talked about
  • What I think could be added is more audience engagement, maybe little quizzes throughout the course, before the break. Pick on people at random to answer questions you just went over in the units to make sure everyone is paying attention.
  • suggestions is if we had more time get the group to participate more if possible.
  • Maybe a suggestion to have the instructor interact with the participates with poles or questionnaires.
  • talk more about verbal.
  • I have no other comments or suggestions.   I learned a lot of new tips that I can use with my students.
  • None
  • I was very impressed with your knowledge and dedication.
  • Thank you so much for all the information provided. The charts will come in handy. I also will be looking into talking with my daughter about diet for my grandson.
  • I really enjoyed this course. I had my 4 year nephew in mind during the whole thing. We are waiting for him to be assessed for autism. I see many of the signs present in him and I will take what I've learned and try to pass it onto my sister in aiding him, starting with the diet.
  • Your son is lucky to have you as a mother with all your patience and understanding.
  • I recommend that you get examples of behaviours from children in participants care (family, student, etc.) that you can use in the training to also provide feedback and examples of solutions.
  • No, I don't have any other comments or suggestions
  • I think people need more awareness about Autism in general.
  • maybe showing videos in the course ?
  • You are a true Warrior as a mom & advocate for Autism
  • Nothing.
  • I learned so much! Loved all your information!
  • no
  • I suggest that next time. We do it at least one hour or 2 hours over a week. I will love it the more. In any case thank you I really learnt a lot from you. My desire in life is to help my follow human.
  • I WILL LIKE TO SUGGEST THAT MORE INFORMATION AND LECTURES ABOUT AUTISM SHOULD BE DISTRIBUTED ALL OVER THE WORLD.
  • ·         None
  • You kept us entertained.  The 4 hours went by quick.  I had a lot of “I see that in a child” moments.
  • Nope.  Everything seemed like it was going fast and I like that we took breaks
  • No questions.   The workshop was awesome
  • Nothing.
  • The only suggestion I have is to talk slower.   I thought you talked a bit fast and breaks be a bit longer than 10 mins.
  • The class could be more participatory with role-plays for how we will solve some autistic client behavioral issues.  There could be real tests or after-class assessment from what is learned to determine if the students actually understood what was taught
  • I liked the print outs that we can use and all the good ideas to implement to make things easier for the children in my care.
  • enjoyed the training the handouts were very good
  • would like to watch more videos.
  • I would like to take another course to learn more about it and how to better teach and understand our students.
  • if we could record the online session so we could go back and review what we didn’t understand or missed. Just to refresh it.
  • No special suggestion except time frame for lectures
  • maybe more concrete resources to use in classroom?
  • We appreciate how strongly you advocated for your son and continue to advocate for people living with autism. We also appreciate how in depth you have learned and researched autism so that we can gain from your knowledge and experience.
  • I suggest that people can eat a light snack, for example; muffin or cookie.  When sitting for long time I wanted to snack and I felt like I had to hide from camera when I was eating a cookie.
  • None
  • It was fun for everyone to be in their comfort zone but having a physical classroom would have created an avenue for social interaction and exchange of more personal experience.
  • I am hosting Superhero Kids Hair with Care grand opening on May 19th from 4 to 7pm.  I am doing it as a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for Autism Ontario.  I am writing a press release on this.  If you can make any suggestions or help in any way to promote it please let me know.  Let me know the next date for your next class so I can try and get some of my people to attend.
  • Don't really have any.
  • I request that you give more classes in other areas that you have experience in.
  • This training should be compulsory for every health care provider.
  • We would like sources or links for the  research for biomedical.
  • All respect to your experience and knowledge, since autism is a broad topic, I think it would be a good idea to invite someone with expert opinion in autism to talk about let's say "Speech therapy" within this. I'm not trying to undermine your presence, it would just be interesting to hear another perspective. This is the only suggestion I could think of because you covered all the expectations amazingly.
  • I don’t really have any suggestions. You went through it all and answered questions that were asked. Very helpful.
  • should be able to pick between the 4 hr and 2 day times.   should have a five or ten minute one on one with each client.   should have an optional part of the class where you go down the list of classmates asking them individually each question to further encourage interactive involvement,  including a statement about yourself and why you’re interested in the class
  • I loved how you used your experiences as an example to better help us understand the course. You're a natural teacher and I appreciate your help.
  • I love Barbara Lebo  because she is a good Instructor. She had so much to teach in a short frame of time. Thanks for the illustrations, which were perfect and for the handouts.
  • Yes, I chose the online course because it saved me time and transportation costs. Again, printing out the handouts in advance helped me to read them and get more involved during the lesson. They will also help me with the next consideration.    It's good to see how passionate you are about the profession and your efforts to develop a successor in the field. keep it up.
  • suggestion is try to make the class a little longer.
  • My suggestion is that the course could have been divided into two (2) sessions
  • It would be great if the participants could ask or share their experiences at time of the specific topic.

  •   I will be able to further my career and she gave me the tools needed !
  • I will suggest you send the handout as one book instead of sending five emails.
  • Can this help me transition to getting a job in Canada?
  • You look beautiful.    And you are a good teacher.
  • I would suggest that the Government make autism training mandatory for public officials .
  • It has broaden and added to my reservoir of stored knowledge about humans, we live with on this earth.
  • I will go through the paperwork and I will continue till my dreams on autism is complete .
  • Maybe specifying the benefit of each of the course program  will help some of us plan our budget better. like 121 section is one i just got to know about.
  • Please tell people to bring a box of tissues, because I truly cried more than once hearing your story.
  •  I am suggesting that this lecture should extend for 2 to 3 days.
  • More of it please.
  • I am glad I took part in this training and learned a lot
  • Everything was explained wonderfully
  • Autism training with Mrs Barbara was enjoyable and her method of teaching was awesome.
  • I will say that this teaching is worth emulating and needs to be reached down to some other countries in Africa like Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, etc  in order for them to know more about Autism.
  • Overall it was a good training experience
  • A well-researched tutor, couldn't have had it any other way.
  • I would like if this could be taught in High schools and workplaces.
  • N/A
  • It was really a great privilege for me to partake in the training and I will do my best with the program
  • I would suggest that there should be more practical illustrations during the delivery of the lectures.
  • With your wealth of expertise and cognate experience of many years, it would have been great, if this Institute transformed into a full -fledged college.  Secondly, I would like to suggest that, at this junction, there is need to incorporate an Agency where  'DSW'' Disability support Worker would be trained and posted out to other homes.
  • If you could include more videos.    I am sure I can take good care of the people with autism
  • The training should be continuous (periodic) most especially for those who are actively involved in providing care to the people with autism.
  • my suggestion is you can make  the course for two day so that you can give more room for questions and other people experiences.  That it will enhance the training.
  • Your handling of the training was excellent with various life examples. it was not a waste of money and time.
  • The training was satisfactory.
  • Maybe I will say " The class was short and I wish we could continue ".  I don't know if that is a pros or a cons Hahaha.
  • I suggest you include some short videos in the course.
  • My  suggestions and comments is to encourage you and your collaborators give you more wisdom for more research to resolve this condition.
  • I think you did a great job in the way you explained and taught us and i loved how you always gave us an example of your son because it allowed us to understand better from your perspective. My suggestion is to keep doing amazing like you do and keep bringing light and knowledge on autism caregiving.
  • There should be therapists to help them improve in speech and a kind of sport that will showcase their ability, so they can be celebrated.
  • They need more activities like exercises, games, and physiotherapy in order to improve their well-being.
  • You are good instructor.
  • I would like to suggest that there should be things like speech therapy in place to enable them to express themselves like any other individual. For example, like the story you told us concerning the boy harassed by the police because he could not express himself very well.
  • THE FACILITATOR IS SO AMAZING, SHARED HER SONS EXPERIENCE.
  • None so far. All is well for me. Satisfied and happy with the flow of the training.
  • Some aspects of the course that was gloss over should have been discussed.
  • I don't have any other suggestions.
  • I feel the part 2 and/or Part 3 needs more time allocation. Then I feel this training needs to be pushed to centers, homes, Govt agencies etc as a part of EDI as well
  • l suggest that that this course should be done twice in a month, also our hard copy should be mailed to all the participants, we don't even mind the extra charges on it.
  • My hopes are high, the person who referred me to you spoke profoundly on the opportunities that taking this training present and now I seek to enter the doors to these opportunities, grow and help as many people and families as possible...a good friend of mine recently confided in me that his youngest son has been diagnosed with autism, so am definitely going to share some of the information learnt with him.
  • I will appreciate if relevant video can be added to the presentation for more information and understanding.
  • Additionally, gathering input on any improvements or additional support needed can be valuable for future sessions.

  • I would recommend this course for anyone interested in gaining insight into Autism Spectrum Disorders from the individual and a parents perspective.
  • It is a great reminder how ASD individuals need others to be their spokesperson and if Healthcare workers better understand the different perceptions and the difficulty that ASD individuals can have with experiencing the world around them – we can then better help modify the environment and stimuli to give a better experience for all  - the individual, the family member and  the caregiver.   Thanks again Barb!
  • EVERY SINGLE PARTICIPANT SAID YES !!!

  • I would recommend this course. I think there was a lot of great information, and for someone who has no knowledge they will definitely leave with knowledge on autism.
  • Absolutely!    I wish this information was available even to people who have nobody who's autistic around. awareness of this spectrum is crucial even to families who don't have it at one point in their lives can develop it due to bio-medicinal factors. for example. my son. he has paperwork saying he has no developmental delays. but after they took him away and put him on drugs he became really inconsolable. best to inform families before they make these common everyday mistakes.
  • This course has a lot of information that I think most people lack about autism today it's also helped to broaden my knowledge. So of course I would recommend this course to others like my colleagues or friends.

  • Other 1:1 Feedback

  • Thank you very much for your attention and the time you spent with me.  She is more than a boss to me.   In fact she is like a mother, she speak in a respectable manner.  She spent more than 1 hour with me and she make sure I get every single explanation clearly from her.   With her I was able to learn what autism caregiver specialist means.   I can boldly come out and share my knowledge with others.   I  must recommend her to my family, friends and my colleagues at work.   Her training was very fantastic and I really learned a lot from her and am looking forward to have more discussion with her again.  I have never seen anyone like her who will spend so much time and explain everything step by step for her clients.   She is a good leader and she's the best.
  • Thank you for the 1:1 today. It was insightful and very useful in getting employed as an Autism caregiver specialist within and internationally. Moreso , it is very key and relevant for visa application process relating to giving care to persons living with autism.
  • Thanks for the lecture, you are such an amazing woman. Love to be with, I really appreciate you so much. And I believe you will help me to achieve my dreams. About the personalise flyer I will love you to do it for me. Thanks.

You spurred me on to action and as a result of the coaching session and the thorough training you gave us, I have recently just secured a part-time job with Wholistic Child and Family Services. For this, I am really grateful.

I will recommend your services to friends and my new employer.

Thank you so much for all your assistance
